LifeStyles Print Magazine

I worked closely with the editor-in-chief to redesign and relaunch this doctorate college semi-annual alumni magazine to better align it with the institution's brand and the mission of the publication to engage, inspire and inform multiple audiences including alumni, students, potential students and the chiropractic community at large.

Design and Production
With this publication, I designed the template utilizing the institutional branding as the foundation. I worked with the Editor-in-chief on content ideas and organization as well as helped with content management. I designed all editorial pages, directed cover and feature story photoshoots, created illustrations, designed typography, produced press-ready files and worked directly with the printer on pricing, press-checks and deliverables.

Flat Plan
While working with the editor-in-chief on content, I directed pagination and created a flat plan to ensure that the flow of the magazine was both visually impactful  and well organized from the reader's perspective. One of my initiatives was to create consistent issue-to-issue departments such as "The Buzz", Athletics and Alumni News to create further engagement with the reader.

Outcomes
With this redesign, impactful content and high quality printing, LifeStyles has become a leading publication within the chiropractic industry. Life West's Institutional Advancement and Enrollment teams have been able to leverage this magazine as a strong marketing piece, representing the institution's mission to lead chiropractic education with cultural authority in the profession.
